Role: Band 3 Vaccinator
We are looking to recruit to the Band 3 Vaccinator roles across the Aberdeen City vaccination program for a fixed term period from until end December 2026. This will be within vaccination centres, outlying city community clinics and schools. Successful individuals may also be required to assist in other areas.
Requirements
Applicants should have completed relevant competencies for phlebotomy. They will be expected to complete the Associate vaccinator competencies within the first month of the start date. They must be able to demonstrate a high standard of care, so that the immunisation programme is carried out safely, effectively and according to national policies. Applicants must have good time management and should be an active team player, but also be able to work on their own initiative. They need to have an open, friendly manner with excellent communication skills, as they can be dealing with a diverse range of people from all age groups, occasionally resulting in stressful situations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
