The Role
To deliver exceptional guest service by supporting the daily operations of the Hotel and Spa. The Spa Facilities Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality across all spa and hotel areas, while providing knowledgeable, professional, and courteous customer care. You will contribute to the overall guest experience by ensuring smooth operations, efficient communication between departments, and a consistent focus on guest satisfaction. You will also support revenue generation by upselling services, adhering to budget targets, and assisting in the control of financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued
- Monitoring and maintaining pool and spa areas to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Regularly test and adjust chemical levels in the pool and spa to maintain optimal water quality
- Ensuring all areas of the spa are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, including treatment rooms, locker rooms, and public areas
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff
- Working closely with other team members to deliver seamless service and support across all relevant departments
- Informing guests about spa services, treatments, and guidelines, enhancing their overall experience
- Supporting Spa Reception with guest arrivals and departures
- Addressing and resolving guest issues promptly and efficiently, maintaining a positive and professional manner
Personal Specification
Essentials
- All applicants must be over the age of 18 years old due to the nature of the role
- Have a customer service background with strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Have a demonstrated interest in pool and spa quality standards
- Be meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are obtained

Desirables
- Have previous experience in a similar role within the Spa/Hospitality industry
- Hold relevant certifications in pool and spa management
- Hold certification such as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or similar is advantageous
Additional Information
- Part-time - 15 hours per week
- A mixture of shifts - morning, afternoons and evenings
- 2 days – contracted weekends with options for overtime in the week
- £12.71 per hour
