KRI Learning Lab

KRI Learning Lab provides live sessions and short educational material on mission-critical AI assurance, with an initial focus on space AI, onboard autonomy, and high-risk autonomous operations.

Space AI Assurance Primer

The first course is the Space AI Assurance Primer, delivered as four weekly live sessions for people who need a practical understanding of technical evidence, runtime controls, and review expectations before autonomous systems affect mission decisions. A compact live introduction to assurance concepts for onboard AI, autonomous spacecraft, ADR, ISAM, RPO, and autonomous collision avoidance.

Course Description

  • Introduces the shift from deterministic control to onboard autonomy, and why high-risk decisions need explicit evidence.
  • Covers Simplex architecture, decision gates, safety boundaries, and fallback control for autonomous manoeuvres.
  • Explains runtime monitors, uncertainty thresholds, logging, and incident reconstruction for safety-critical autonomy.
  • Shows how to structure review evidence for ADR, ISAM, RPO, autonomous collision avoidance, and proximity missions.
