Role Overview
As a Space Strategy Consultant at Space Insider, you will be a core member of our consulting project teams, helping to structure complex commercial questions, conduct research and analysis, build market models, develop recommendations, and prepare high-quality client deliverables across the space, aerospace, defence, investment, government, and advanced technology sectors. We are looking for an experienced consultant with approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, who between client engagements will also support business development, internal strategy, and market intelligence. Over time, the role offers a clear path to progress towards a Space Strategy Manager position.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis across the space sector, including market trends, competitive landscape, and technological developments.
- Structure complex client questions into clear workstreams and take ownership of defined project deliverables.
- Build market models, forecasts, and sizing analyses, including TAM/SAM/SOM, to support client recommendations.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Produce client-ready presentations, briefings, market maps, and reports.
- Support business development, proposals, and internal strategy between client engagements.
- Collaborate with the market intelligence team to produce consulting-grade reports and ensure the quality of Space Insider content.
- Review and support the work of junior analysts where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in space consulting, strategy consulting, aerospace strategy, commercial space research, market intelligence, or a related advisory environment.
- Proven experience delivering client-facing strategy, market, commercial, or due-diligence projects.
- Strong Excel-based market-modelling, forecasting, and quantitative-analysis skills, including TAM/SAM/SOM and scenario analysis.
- Excellent PowerPoint, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong client-deliverable capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial and institutional space ecosystem, including areas such as satellite communications, Earth observation, launch, propulsion, defence space, ground segment, in-orbit services, and downstream applications.
- Strong analytical discipline, commercial judgement, and attention to detail, with the confidence to challenge weak assumptions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, managing multiple priorities and taking ownership without detailed instruction.
- The ambition and readiness to progress towards a Space Strategy Manager role.
