Spanish-Speaking Tour Guide – Oxford Walking Tours
Do you have a passion for sharing the history of Oxford?
City Sightseeing Oxford are looking to expand and require three fluent Spanish-speaking tour guides to provide engaging guided walking tours for Spanish-speaking visitors.
About the Role
We need enthusiastic and experienced Spaniards or Spanish learners to help introduce tourists to Oxford’s vibrant history, colleges, and iconic landmarks— oferCurvein Spanish and English!
You’ll lead small to medium groups on a variety of themed walks, answering questions, sharing insights, and ensuring visitors leave with a positive, memorable experience. The role is lively and rewarding, with opportunities to develop relationships and engage with diverse cultures.

Daily Responsibilities
- Give clear, engaging, and accurate tour presentations to groups in Spanish and English
- Answer effective and educational questions while maintaining a friendly demeanour
- Promote Oxford’s history and culture, including college tours and historical sites
- Handle occasional customer inquiries and bookings via email and phone
- Multitask confidently as part of a team within a busy sightseeing company
- Adapt conversations to cultural contexts and ensure all guests (including English speakers) feel welcomed
Requirements & Skills
- Fluency in Spanish (Ideally Iniversity-level or above in either Spanish or English)
- Detailed knowledge of Oxford (Colleges, landmarks, and hidden history)
- Experience with groups: Having managed or interacted with visitors preferable but not essential
- Customer service focus: Friendly, open, culturally aware, and quick to communicate
- Eager to reach out to people from different backgrounds
- Some basic digital literacy for booking and guidance

Close-Profit Breaks During Tours
FlexibleCasual Contract: Enjoy full scheduling control on a month-by-month basis.
Salary Rates:
- £12.00 per hour Monday to Friday, even if no tour runs (to compensate tour prep time)
- £12.50 per hour at weekends
Free Transport: As a benefit, you’ll receive complimentary Go-Ahead Group bus travel policies (exclusions apply).
