SPAR Monkseaton - Retail Assistant

Retail Assistant – SPAR

Our SPAR colleagues are a vital part of the James Hall & Co. Ltd. team, delivering outstanding service across our network of over 450 company-owned stores. Their dedication helps us maintain strong connections with our communities while driving growth and investment.


Contract Type: Permanent / Part-Time Hours per Week: 14.5 hours


About the Role

As a Retail Assistant, you’ll ensure our customers receive the best possible experience while supporting the smooth operation of the store. You’ll work alongside a supportive team, making every interaction count.


Key Responsibilities

You’ll play a crucial part in the daily running of the store, including:

  • Boosting sales through exceptional customer service
  • Cost management and waste reduction
  • Accurate cash handling and till operation
  • Stock management, including replenishment and warehouse tasks
  • Maintaining store security in line with company policies
