Sparks Academy 2026 DEADLINE EXTENDED MONDAY 6th JULY

Calling all bright sparks!

Creativity is open to all — but the creative industry? Not so much. That’s where Sparks comes in.

Sparks is a new way to break into the creative industry for young people with no creative degree or previous industry experience. Whether that’s zero, zilch, or just the faintest spark of curiosity, we’re looking for you.

What is Sparks?

An open intern academy created by Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) to help you find your feet in the creative world.

We know talent can come from anywhere. So we’re not looking for the “finished article.” Instead, we’re looking for those who are curious, daring, and willing to take a chance.

Ever considered a career in creativity? If so, Sparks might be for you.

What makes a Spark?

Here’s what we look for:

  • No degree? No problem.
  • No experience? Not an issue.
  • No trouble being bold—just bring your:
    • Bravery
    • Tenacity
    • Authenticity (be yourself!)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
