Sparks Academy 2026 DEADLINE EXTENDED MONDAY 6th JULY

Calling All Bright Sparks!

Creativity is open to all, but the creative industry? Not so much.

About Sparks

Sparks is a new way to break into the creative industry for young people with no creative degree or previous industry experience.

Here’s how we see it:

  • An open intern academy created by Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR)
  • Geared toward budding creatives with curiosity
  • án opportunity for 18+ applicants, regardless of prior credentials

We find that a bright spark can come from anywhere. Unlike typical recruitment, we’re not looking for polished perfection. Instead, we seek curious minds, ready to take a chance.

If you’ve ever wondered what a creative career could offer—this is for you.

What Makes a Spark?

You don’t need a formal education or industry experience. Instead, we’re looking for:

  • Bravery: No fear of challenges.
  • Tenacity: Readiness to grow through struggle.
  • Authenticity: Let your true self shine.

Are you 18 or older? Do you fit this mindset? We want to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
