Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Spatial & Sustainability Manager to join a leading environmental company based in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to innovative resource deployment and sustainability initiatives within a dynamic sector.

As the Spatial & Sustainability Manager, you will leverage your analytical expertise to optimise municipal waste collection and street cleansing operations. You will work closely with both internal teams and external clients, providing strategic insights and modelling scenarios to support tender processes and environmental solutions.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Your duties as the Spatial & Sustainability Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Model a variety of resourcing scenarios for municipal waste collection and street cleansing tenders.
  • Use GIS software to spatially analyse LLPG / OS Addressbase / ITN to determine key metrics and complete sensitivities.
  • Assess client tender documents and data packs to identify specific requirements, nuances, and complexities.
  • Present to senior management and at external client meetings, clearly communicating analytical findings.
  • As the Spatial & Sustainability Manager, you will develop actionable insights to support environmental strategies and resource deployment.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Spatial & Sustainability Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree or higher level in Data / GIS / Geoinformatics / Computational / Mathematics or similar (or relevant experience).
  • Proven industry experience in resourcing, modelling, or logistical planning.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with GIS software (ESRI preferred) and strong SQL querying skills.
