Our Speaker Programme plays a vital role in raising awareness and funds across the UK. As a Project Coordinator Volunteer, you support our Volunteer Speakers to reach new audiences, coordinate talks, research potential groups, and provide valuable project and administrative support. You also help plan and promote our events and campaigns, bringing your ideas to life to reach more communities and supporters. Availability: 2 hours per week - weekdays or weekends Time: Flexible to suit your schedule Location: Home-based Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age What you'll do: Support the coordination and development of the UK‑wide Speaker Programme Book talks for Volunteer Speakers and keep records up to date Communicate regularly with Volunteer Speakers to offer support and gather updates Research new groups, venues, and communities for potential talks to take place Assist with project and administrative tasks, including databases, materials, and activity tracking Occasionally support event planning linked to the Speaker Programme Why you'd be a great fit: Friendly, reliable and bring a positive, can-do attitude Comfortable talking to people from all walks of life Team spirit - contributing to a positive team dynamic whilst being independent in the role Creative with great organisation and communication skills and self‑motivation Creative, resourceful with confidence to explore opportunities openly Access to a computer and comfortable utilising Email, Microsoft Office or Excel Willingness to use and update databases (training provided) Interest or experience in project management, including supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of speaker programmes What you'll gain: Essential training, ongoing guidance and wellbeing support Recognition for your time and effort Updates on the difference you're making A friendly volunteer network Be part of the UK’s leading end-of-life charity Perks: Travel and expenses reimbursed Access to discount on shopping, dining, travel and more Need more information?
