The University of Bradford Library is currently recruiting for a Special Collections and Archives Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Special Collections team, and be part of the busy, forward-looking, and friendly university library team based on the Bradford University campus, a few minutes’ walk from the city centre in the J.B. Priestley Library. Special Collections is a nationally accredited archive service and provides research opportunities for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing
- Provide support to the University Archivist with the management, auditing, and use of the varied collections.
- Carry out research for University events and publicity, including the University’s 60th anniversary.
- Research and respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake a wide range of archival duties including document retrieval and repackaging and relocation of collections.
- Check, upload, and approve content of the University’s art collection onto the Museums Data Service website.
- Create collection-level descriptions of archive collections to be added to various discovery platforms.
Qualifications/ Experience
- GCSE English and Maths.
- Degree in librarianship or archive administration, or equivalent level of experience.
