Job Description
Position: Special Needs Assistant
Salary:
Scale 6, points 18-20
Hours of work:
Part Time 33.43 hours per week – Term Time Only
Contract Term:
Permanent

The Head teacher and Governors wish to appoint, as soon as possible, a scale 6 special needs SNA who is prepared to provide support for learners, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes, and to encourage learners to become independent, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of learners in all aspects of our school life. This post will have a particular focus on supporting with positive behaviour management within the school and will involve undertaking positive handling training at an advanced level.

The Successful Candidates Will
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the educational and emotional needs of pupils with diverse learning requirements.
- Possesses excellent communication skills to establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Exhibit strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage individualised education plans effectively.
- Show flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges or changing circumstances.
