We are looking for a Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team. This role focuses on integrating the physical, mental, and psychological wellness of our service members and their families.
The Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker will function as a Behavioral Health Care Provider within an operational unit. This involves applying social work procedures and techniques, including:
- Interviewing
- Behavioral assessments
- Evidence-based therapies
- Treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders through:
- Individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Couples therapy
- Alcohol and drug treatment evaluations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage in all quality improvement and staff meetings, conferences.
- Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical, behavioral health, or organizational social work.
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records of all patients and produce evaluation/treatment reports.
- Participate in military-specific training, including potential clinical supervision of unlicensed providers or trainees.
- Activities may include:
- Completing DoD-required training.
- Contacting referred patients to assess treatment adherence.
- Using validated symptom inventories to assess symptom severity.
- Assessing barriers to treatment adherence and helping patients problem-solve solutions.
- Educating patients regarding their mental health conditions and treatment regimens.
- Maintaining patient information in a patient registry and electronic medical records.
- Routinely staffing difficult cases with relevant providers and/or psychiatry consultants.
- Performing case management functions.

Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance (or currently hold either).
- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree (equivalent, such as MSSW or MSSA) from a program fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- A current, unrestricted clinical license to practice social work independently in a U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in independent practice within a mental health setting.
- Demonstrable knowledge of professional standards and ethics in clinical social work.
- Experience with brief behavioral interventions.
- Potential requirement for clinical practice privileges.
- Fluent communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), provided by the American Heart Association (must provide proof of this and any necessary documentation).

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Government setting, such as DoD or VA Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Military and/or special operations forces (SOF) experience strongly preferred.

- Compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental plans, policies, and procedures.
- Adherence to Quality Assurance plans, policies, and procedures.
- Maintenance of regular and acceptable attendance.
- Fulfillment of all required training commitments.
- Ability to complete additional assignments/duties as necessary.
