Join our team as a Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker, where you’ll provide behavioral health care within an operational unit.
As a Behavior Health Care Provider, you’ll apply social work techniques, such as:
- Interviewing
- Behavioral assessment
- Evidence-based therapies
- Individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Couples therapy
- Alcohol and drug treatment evaluations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage in quality improvement meetings, conferences, and training initiatives
- Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work
- Provide consultation to medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required
- Maintain accurate medical records (evaluations, treatment reports) for all patients
- Participate in military-specific training
- Supervise unlicensed providers or trainees (duties may include clinical mentorship)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete required DoD/service training
- Assess treatment adherence by contacting referred patients
- Use validated symptom inventories to evaluate symptom severity
- Identify barriers to treatment compliance and collaborate with patients to develop solutions
- Educate patients on mental health conditions and treatment regimens
- Maintain patient registries and electronic medical records
- Staff difficult cases with behavioral health consultants/personnel during medical reviews
- Perform case management functions

Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance (current clearance may suffice)
- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.), MSMW (Masters of Social Work/Master’s in Social Welfare), or equivalent from a CSWE-accredited program
- Current unrestricted clinical license to practice independently in:
- Any of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands
- Must meet local Military Treatment Facility (MTF) credentialing requirements
- Two years (minimum) of recent (within the past 5 years) independent clinical practice in a mental health setting
- Demonstrates working knowledge of professional ethics in clinical social work
- Experience in brief behavioral interventions
- May require maintenance of clinical practice privileges
- Fluent oral/written English communication skills
Training & Certification:
- Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association
- Proof of certification:
- Front/back documentation for training, licensure, and compliance
Desired Education & Experience
- Experience in Government/military settings, such as DoD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs)
- Prefer prior military/ Special Operations Forces (SOF) service experience
Standard Company Requirements
- Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies
- Adherence to Quality Assurance (QA) plans, policies, and procedures
- Regular/acceptable attendance
- Completion of all required training
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
