Specialist Adapted Account Manager
Location: Chester (Hybrid)
Salary: £27,500.00
Working Hours: 9am - 6pm (40 hours a week, 1 in 4 Saturdays)
About the Role
Do you enjoy helping people stay mobile and independent? At Proximo, we provide specialist and adapted replacement vehicles for customers who need the right support at the right time. In this role, you’ll help arrange hire vehicles quickly, clearly, and cost-effectively, while keeping customers updated every step of the way.
What Makes This Role Different?
As a Specialist Adapted Account Manager, you’ll manage your own caseload of hire requests and work closely with customers, the Hire team, our branches, and suppliers. You’ll listen carefully, understand what each customer needs, and help arrange a suitable replacement vehicle that keeps them moving.
What Will You Be Doing Day-to-Day?
- Manage hire requests from start to finish, ensuring customers are contacted within agreed timeframes and each hire is handled efficiently.
- Arrange the delivery of replacement hire vehicles for customers.
- Source vehicles from alternative suppliers when needed to meet customer needs.
- Keep customers updated on progress and meeting agreed Service Level Agreement call times.
- Work with the Claims team, Hire team, branch teams, and suppliers to arrange suitable vehicles.
- Update customer files accurately using our internal system.
- Coordinate deliveries and collections to make the best use of resources and keep costs under control.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing and organizing your own caseload.
- Ensuring callbacks are completed on the same day.
- Checking hire documents are correct and received within the right timeframe.
- Issuing Service Level Agreements to suppliers and checking they’re followed.
- Maximizing hire days and charging rates by ensuring the correct vehicle group is booked.
- Helping improve fleet performance by arranging vehicle swaps where cross hire is active.
What Are We Looking For?
- Clear, caring communication – you’ll speak with customers, colleagues, and suppliers in a way that feels helpful and respectful.
- Strong organization skills, with the confidence to manage your own workload and keep cases on track.
- Good attention to detail, especially when updating customer files and checking hire documents.
- A practical, problem-solving approach when sourcing vehicles or managing changing customer needs.
- Knowledge of the hire business or vehicle makes and models would be useful, but we’ll support you as you learn.
