Job Title: Specialist Car Storage Manager, £65000 OTE
Role Summary
Pybus Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised individual to oversee the operations of a premium vehicle storage facility based in Amersham. This is a very rare and unique opportunity to work in a privately owned business and with some of the world's best specialist cars.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the storage site, ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient handling of vehicles, while leading and supporting a team of six staff members.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service standards, with the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most significant vehicles.
This role may suit an Aftersales Manager or General Manager that has worked in UK Automotive with Premium/Specialist brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all vehicle storage operations, ensuring security, cleanliness, and proper documentation are maintained at all times
- Manage and lead a team of six staff members, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and providing guidance and training where necessary
- Coordinate vehicle movements in and out of storage, liaising with logistics, service teams, acquisitions departments, and clients
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle locations, conditions, and movements using internal management systems
- Ensure all vehicles are stored in accordance with required standards, including regular inspections, battery maintenance, tyre pressure checks, and fluid monitoring
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal departments and selected clients regarding stored vehicles
- Develop and enforce operational procedures, insurance requirements, and compliance governance
- Monitor inventory and storage capacity, ensure accurate invoicing for vehicles in storage, and report any concerns or future capacity needs
- Support wider business operations during peak periods or events
- Uphold strict confidentiality and security standards when handling high-value and rare vehicles

- Strong leadership experience, including direct management of a team
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Competent IT skills, with experience using inventory or vehicle management systems considered an advantage
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail
- Full UK driving licence (clean)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and appreciation of high-value, classic, and performance vehicles is highly desirable
