Clinical Psychologist (Specialist in Neurodivergence) – Greenwch CAMHS
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary Learning Disability and Neurodevelopmental Team in Greenwich CAMHS, providing a specialist service for neurodiverse young people.
This key role involves delivering highly specialist psychological services to children and young people with:
- Autism, ADHD or Learning Disabilities
- Complex emotional, psychological, and mental health challenges
About the Team & Environment
Positioned next to Oxleas Woods, the team fosters therapeutic spaces, including ecologically embedded interventions to support both client care and staff wellbeing.
Joining a thriving psychological team within Greenwich CAMHS, you’ll collaborate with:
- Clinical Psychologists
- Assistant Psychologist
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Therapist
- Art Therapist
- Family Therapist
Current therapeutic approaches include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Compulsory Expressions Therapy (CFT)
- Narrative Therapy
- EMDR
- Neurodiversity-affirming therapies
With potential for training in Neurodiversity-sensitive interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Psychological Assessment & Treatment:
- Conduct specialist assessments for neurodivergent young people.
- Deliver evidence-based, neuro-affirming interventions consistent with CYP-IAPT guidelines.

Interventions:
- Case management with a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Training & Mentorship:
- Supervise trainee clinical psychologists.

Consultation & service development:
- Advise on psychological care plans for non-psychology colleagues.
- Use research skills for audit, service improvement, and research projects.

Fulfilling a wider NHS role:
- Contribute to service delivery, ongoing training, and inter-agency collaboration within Oxleas’ strategic framework.
Requirements
- Mandatory eligibility to practice as a registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC) and Psychological Therapies Worksforce Committee alignment.
- Experience in:
- Supporting neurodivergent young people.
- Therapeutic interventions for complex Emotional, Psychological, or Mental Health (EPMH) difficulties.
- Commitment to neuro-affirming principles.
