Clinical Nurse Endoscopist Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a clinical nurse endoscopist to join our team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced endoscopist who will join a supportive team of nurse endoscopists, Consultants, and clinical nurse specialists in the Colorectal Surgery team at Northumbria Healthcare. This is an exciting and varied role with the opportunity to expand knowledge and skillset into bowel cancer screening endoscopy and complex polyp removals.

The appointed individual will support the 2ww cancer pathway in Colorectal Surgery by accepting, triaging, and directing referrals to the appropriate first face-to-face contact, supporting with follow-up scans/biopsies, etc., and navigating patients through the pathway.
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of Faster Diagnosis Standards, letters, and documentation.
- Supporting patients into treatment regimes where appropriate.
- Opportunities to deliver training in the endoscopy and non-endoscopy parts of the role.
