Role Overview
Carnival Cruise Line’s crew travel administration team is seeking a skilled Crew Travel Specialist to oversee travel arrangements for onboard and shoreside employees, contractors, and concierge under the All Brands Group. The position requires manual reservation handling, last-minute coordination, and cost-optimization expertise with deep knowledge of Sabre GDS and international travel logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Coordination & Administration
- Confirm travel arrangements (flights, hotels, ground transport) for Carnival or Group-affiliated travelers, ensuring compliance with budgetary and contractual guidelines.
- Hold responsibility for last-minute changes—approve PNMs (passenger name modifications) and execute zero-to-seven-day adjustments to shipping-related travel.
- Verify reservations at the lowest possible cost, addressing discrepancies to prevent system access issues and ensuring active ticket validation.
- Obtain and communicate visa letters, passports, and other mandatory documentation as required.
- Maintain rigorous documentation for all bookings, including proof of charges, ecological receipts, and fare quotes.
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Deliver exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and interpersonal communication—handling inquiries promptly and inclusively.
- Troubleshoot booking tools, including Sabre’s GDS platform, and dispatch technical issues to appropriate resources.
- Monitor shared mailboxes to resolve inquiries during the 12-hour shift, escalating unresolved queries or risks to management.

Technical & Compliance Liaison
- Process ticket issuance/exchanges accurately, adhering to payment policies and applying administrative fees where required.
- Update the appointments log when ticket statuses change (including vacated tickets) and monitor aviation/duty reports for real-time discrepancies.
- Respond to disruptions—delay impacts, weather-related cancellations, mechanical failures—coordinating r-sexchanges, reroutes, or alternative arrangements with minimal traveler inconvenience.
- Collaborate with vendors (airlines, ground handlers) during irregular operations to address emergencies with proficiency.
Team & Role Flexibility
- Perform backup for fellow Travel Operations as assigned.
- Extend support to on-call rotations or additional roles as team needs require.
- Maintain global A/E knowledge for Asian/Pacific destinations (domestic and international travel needs).
Qualifications
Core Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a travel agent, airline reservation agent, or equivalent (doctor (Sabre Global Distribution System) preferred).
- GDS proficiency: hands-on experience selling and ticketing international/domestic flights, recalculating fares, and managing corporate travel policies.
- Geographical awareness: world-leading ability to locate services and negotiate rates for business-class accommodation/ground travel within Asia.
- Basic Microsoft proficiency: Excel corridor sorting, Word report generation, PowerPoint data presentation.
- Work throughout night shifts: attendance coverage on rotating on-call roster.
- Valid passport & eagerness to support overseas logistics or crisis recovery operations.
