Band 6 Dietitian – Diabetes and Community Caseload
We are seeking a Band 6 Dietitian to cover a mixed Diabetes and Community caseload, primarily based in South Warwickshire. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Clinic-based work
- Home visits
- Training sessions for patients and staff
About the Role
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice:
- Provide autonomous dietary management advice for patients within specialist diabetes and community caseload.
- Assess, treat, and manage patient caseloads with support from senior colleagues as needed.
- Promote self-management and prevention of nutritional complications among patients, carers, and staff.

Collaboration & Training:
- Work within a multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing, catering, and other health professionals.
- Supervise student dietitians during their placements, ensuring robust clinical guidance.
- Provide training, advice, and support to healthcare and social care professionals.

Leadership & Improvement:
- Deliver an efficient, clinically updated dietetic service within South Warwickshire.
- Contribute to Trust-wide improvements, supporting integration of pathways, quality enhancement, and high productivity.

Required Skills & Experience
Primary Criteria
- Post-registration dietetic experience in community or diabetes care (preferred).
- If this experience is lacking, experienced Band 5 applicants may be considered for a B5-to-B6 developmental post.
- The successful applicant will receive clinical competency training to transition into the role.
