About the Role

Please note: at this stage, this role is open only to colleagues currently employed within:

  • Kent and Medway NHS Trusts
  • The Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB)
  • Medway Community Healthcare

Nursing vacancies in this area are also open to:

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Specialist Doctor - Medical Advisor for Adoption to join our community paediatrics team.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

  • Utilising your medical knowledge and expertise to support adoption-related healthcare needs for patients
  • Collaborating with clinical teams, social workers, and other professionals in ensuring smooth adoption outcomes
  • Playing a critical role in family wellness assessments, pre-adoption screenings, and ongoing health advice
  • Providing medical guidance and expertise to pairs wishing to adopt
  • Supporting the NHS in delivering excellent patient care through frontline team backing
