Specialist, Existing Customer Profitability Analytics
Specialist, Commercial Strategy & Analytics
As a Specialist, Commercial Strategy & Analytics, you will play a key role in delivering insight-led commercial strategies across our existing customer portfolio. Supporting a range of activity including Balance Growth, Engagement and Promotional Strategy, you will monitor performance, identify opportunities and provide recommendations that improve portfolio growth, customer value, and profitability.
Working closely with colleagues across Product, Marketing, Credit Risk, and Change Delivery, you'll use data and analysis to support key commercial decisions, helping to optimize customer outcomes while delivering against business objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with complex data, solving business problems, and turning insight into action.
How You’ll Contribute
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise the performance of existing customer commercial strategies, including Balance Growth, Engagement, and Promotional activity, identifying opportunities to improve portfolio growth, yield, and customer outcomes.
- Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations that support strategic decision-making, helping to drive sustainable commercial performance across the portfolio.
- Identify customer segments and pockets of untapped value, using data-driven insights to develop and recommend targeted commercial initiatives.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Credit Risk teams to design, evaluate, and implement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Support portfolio health through effective performance monitoring, forecasting, financial planning, and targeting activities.
- Work closely with Change Delivery teams to implement strategic initiatives, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and achieve the intended commercial impact.

We're Looking For These Essential Skills
- Strong quantitative analytical experience within Financial Services.
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills, with experience analysing and manipulating complex datasets.
- Strong numerical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to assess the commercial and customer impact of pricing and strategic changes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative, proactive approach with a willingness to support wider team objectives.

It’s a plus if you also have these skills
- Experience working with consumer lending products such as credit cards, loans, or mortgages.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment within consumer lending.
- Experience supporting the delivery of complex change initiatives within Financial Services.
- Python experience.
Externally this role could be known as Portfolio Strategy Analyst, Credit Strategy Analyst, Portfolio Analytics Analyst, Customer Portfolio Analyst, and Commercial Strategy Analyst.
