Psychiatry Specialist Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a specialist in psychiatry in The South Northumberland Community Treatment Team. This is a 10 PA post which has fallen vacant following the departure of the current post-holder.
About the Role
You will join a well-established multidisciplinary mental health team, which serves the adult population of Cramlington, Blyth, and the surrounding areas. The Team base is at the West Farm House in Cramlington and the clinic is at the Plessey Centre in Blyth. You will be based at the West Farm House in Cramlington.
The Team offers assessment and treatment for adults living in the locality, who may be experiencing a serious mental illness, including both psychosis and non-psychosis diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
- Join a well-established multidisciplinary mental health team.
- Serve the adult population of Cramlington, Blyth, and the surrounding areas.
- Offer assessment and treatment for adults experiencing serious mental illness.
- Attend weekly multi-disciplinary Team meetings, offering advice and guidance.
- Provide outpatient reviews of new and current patients.
- Provide leadership and consultative advice to the clinicians in the service.
- Supervise and support Resident doctors and visiting medical students.
- Take part in service establishment, development, and innovation/improvement.
- Contribute to the ongoing training and development programme within the team.

Location
