PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM STAFF CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board invites applications from motivated and forward-thinking Health Visitors to join the Flying Start programme as a Specialist Health Visitor for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. Main duties of the job

The Specialist Health Visitor for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health will lead the development and delivery of perinatal and infant mental health initiatives across the Flying Start service. The role involves providing therapeutic and educational interventions to families, with a strong focus on early intervention, prevention, and the promotion of healthy parent–infant relationships.

The post holder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement screening pathways, policies, and procedures that support women, men, and families from pregnancy up to two years postnatally. They will contribute to service improvement by strengthening partnerships, enhancing early support provision, and ensuring families receive timely, specialist care.

A key aspect of the role is offering expert training, consultation, and guidance to Health Visiting teams, supporting them to deliver high-quality, personalised care. The post holder will also raise awareness of the impact of perinatal mental health difficulties and promote effective care planning across primary care, maternity, mental health, and children’s services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
