About the Role
West Row Academy is seeking a compassionate Specialist Hub Lead Teacher to lead our dedicated specialist provision hub. This role will focus on supporting pupils with high levels of need, particularly in communication. You will foster a nurturing, well-structured environment where collaboration is key, ensuring every child reaches their potential academically and socially.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage our specialist provision hub, ensuring pupils with high support needs (especially in communication) receive personalised, tailored education
- Foster a collaborative, team-focused culture where staff support one another
- Close partnership with families and external services to enhance pupil outcomes
- Work within the Unity Schools Partnership framework, contributing to whole-trust professional growth
- Safeguarding and inclusion advocacy—ensuring every child’s needs are met in a warm, supportive setting
- Mentoring and development of junior staff alongside professional guidance
Person Specification
Essential
- Teaching experience or qualification with a focus on high-needs education (preferably SEN)
- Experience working in a specialist setting or provision for pupils with complex communication needs
- A commitment to collaboration, partnership, and continuous improvement
- Alignment with the school’s values around inclusivity and high expectations
- Strong communication skills to liaise with families, carers, and external services
Desirable
- Additional specialist training in SEN or speech/language therapy coordination
- Experience in job share or part-time leadership (flexible work arrangements welcomed)
- Some experience in a trust or multi-academy setting
