Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry

Do you want to make a difference?

If you are well-organised, able to prioritise, and work on your own initiative without direct supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team to provide excellent patient care, then we look forward to hearing from you.

About the Role

The Special Care Dental Service is part of a countywide NHS Dental treatment service, providing care for patients on referral from General Dental Practitioners (GDPs), GPs, and other health and social care professionals. We operate clinics across the county, covering Monday to Friday (08:30am to 4:30pm), along with a domiciliary service.

Location & Travel Requirements

The role is primarily based in:

  • Worthing (2 days per week)
  • Chichester (1 day per week)
  • Brighton (alternate weeks, supporting GA sessions)

Occasional cover may be required at other clinics depending on service needs. The successful applicant can expect to work across multiple clinic locations, so flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Provide dental treatment under local anaesthesia, with or without sedation.
  • Deliver day-case general anaesthesia sessions.
  • Conduct dento-alveolar surgery and restorative treatments for patients with:
    • Physical impairments
    • Sensory disabilities
    • Intellectual, mental, or medical conditions
    • Emotional or social difficulties
    • Medically compromised patients

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
