High-Impact Product Performance & Commercial Decision-Making Opportunity
You’ll take a key role in analysing and optimising lending portfolios, using data-driven insights to support strategy and enhance profitability across a growing suite of brokerage, lease, and embedded finance products, including our collaboration with Argos.
About the Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in:
- Monitoring, interpreting, and optimising the performance and profitability of newly acquired accounts.
- Building expertise in product performance and lifetime valuations, shaping the analytical tools and data environment to drive meaningful insights.
- Identifying optimisation opportunities, communicating challenges to stakeholders, and championing action-driven solutions.
- Supporting the development and implementation of new lending strategies by uncovering patterns in data and translating them into clear, actionable insights for NewDay brands (e.g., John Lewis) and merchant partnerships.
- Producing, maintaining, and analysing performance curves and valuation models at the product, cohort, and segment levels to evaluate net present value (NPV) of lending cohorts and pinpoint optimisation levers.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with enterprise partnerships and acquisition teams to align performance insights, drive better decision-making, and ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Inform lending strategy by analysing portfolio performance, uncovering data-driven opportunities, and proposing optimisations.
- Work with Python, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI to manipulate complex datasets, generate insights, and develop structural animations for key business audiences.
- Combine quantitative analysis, financial literacy, and industry expertise to assess impact of pricing and strategic changes on customer behaviour and profitability.
- Support data integration with third-party metrics and deepen relationships across enterprise, partnerships, and specialist teams—including embedding changes into close customer-facing channels.
- Embed key performance metrics into internal tools and processes to ensure long-term sustainable models for product performance tracking.
- Identify and develop critical success factors and efficiency metrics, collaborating with teams to deploy evidence-based insights.

Requirements & Essentials
Core Skills & Experience

- UI experience skills 👉
- Strong analytical mind with ability to solve complex numerical challenges
- ✅Proven quantitative and critical thinking skills in commercial mediums (consulting, tech, finance, etc.)
- Practice with numeric and predictive modelling (e.g. cohort analysis, valuation models)
- Ability to evaluate commercial and customer impact from pricing/strategy changes
- 🔹ceaejm Filippo of freehand, clarity, and equivalence among varied experts (internal & external)
- Collaborative mindset with hands-on enthusiasm to support wider team objectives
- ✅Truthy SQL and Excel experience—manipulate complex datasets, synthetic data
- Experience with Python (or a pleasant willingness to learn it)
- Visualisation & analytics: ✅ Tableau/Power BI proficiency recommended

A-Plus Skills (Not Mandatory but Valued)
✒ Consumer lending experience (cancers, mortgages, embedded finance) & familiarity with regulatory processes. ✒ P&L discipline or reviewed financial performance insights.
