About the Role
The role of Specialist Nurse – Breast Care (Bank) is available at The Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon, part of Circle Health Group, Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare.
This is a bank-based position, meaning shifts are required on an “as and when needed” basis to support staffing during busy periods and cover absences.
Salary
- Up to £25.00 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and training.

The Ridgeway Hospital delivers high-quality care across outpatient and inpatient services. Circle Health Group specialises in complex surgeries across over 30 hospitals and clinics nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Act as a clinical expert in cancer pathways, supporting:
- Diagnosis
- Treatment
- Follow-up
- Survivorship care
- Provide specialist assessments, contributing to:
- Holistic care planning
- Symptom management
- Ongoing patient review
- Offer emotional, psychological, and practical support to patients and carers throughout the cancer journey
- Collaborate with:
- Consultants
- MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) members
- Allied health professionals
- Support services
- Ensure compliance with:
- National guidance
- Professional standards
- Circle Health Group policies
- Stay informed on advances in oncology practice while maintaining professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, as relevant) with a valid NMC registration
- Significant post-registration experience in a relevant specialty area
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills in a defined field
- Specialist Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or equivalent experience
- SACT qualification or systemic anti-cancer therapy support experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work:
- Independently
- Within a multidisciplinary team
- Postgraduate qualification or recognised specialist training in the relevant clinical area
- Non-medical prescribing qualification (if applicable)
- Experience in:
- Audit
- Service improvement
- Clinical leadership (preferred)
- Teaching or mentorship qualification (preferred).
