Band 6 Nurse Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 nurse to join the SNOP team (Specialist nurses for older persons). The SNOPs are specialist nurses that are based throughout the trust including Acute care, DME, ED, and the frailty unit.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be required to holistically assess our older patients at the front door. As soon as our frail patients present to the accident and emergency department, our aim is to reduce the risk of patients deconditioning whilst waiting for diagnostic tests and medical attention and a decision as to whether they are able to go home with support in the community or decision to admit. We strive to deliver a high standard of care to our patients keeping them at the heart of what we do.

We aim to facilitate discharge for those we can support with community services using a pragmatic approach such as rapid response, community matrons, NPOPs, Age UK, etc. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have an interest in frailty.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
