Join the Higgins team in Christchurch as a Milling Operator!

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Milling Operator to join our crew and support our road maintenance and construction operations. If you enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy machinery, and being part of a tight-knit team, this could be the perfect opportunity.

About The Role

As a Milling Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating milling machinery to remove existing road surfaces safely and efficiently. You’ll work closely with the crew to ensure high-quality outcomes and smooth project delivery.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience operating milling machines or similar heavy plant
  • Strong understanding of road construction and milling processes
  • A safety-first mindset - for yourself, your team, and the public
  • Class 2 or 4 licence (WTR endorsement an advantage)
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed - ready to work rain or shine
  • Ability to work nights or on call when required
