Are you passionate about improving and developing the pharmacy service to optimise patient care whilst pursuing your interest in education and training?
If so, we are looking for passionate, creative, motivated and patient-focused pharmacists to join our team. UHL comprises three acute teaching hospitals and is one of the largest Trusts in the country, serving over million residents of Leicestershire and Rutland and providing tertiary services on a national level.
In your role you will utilise your clinical experience by providing daily clinical pharmacy services to specified wards, associated areas, assisting with the training and development of others and supporting the improvement of pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- To participate in the delivery of optimum pharmaceutical care to patients served by the clinical directorate on specified ward(s) / clinics and deliver a level of clinical input commensurate with the grade.
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice.
- Actively pursue audit, research and development within the CMG and the department. Publicise the results of such work through presentations and publications.
- Assist with the training and development of staff
