Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Specialist Pharmacist to join our team, delivering clinical pharmacy services within the RRCV (Renal, Respiratory, Cardiology, Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU), Vascular and Specialist Surgery) Clinical Management Group (3 days per week) alongside an exciting opportunity to work as a Teacher Practitioner at De Montfort University (2 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy input within RRCV, supporting safe, effective, and patient-centred use of medicines across inpatient and outpatient settings, in line with the Specialist Pharmacist role.
- Contribute to the delivery of undergraduate pharmacy education at De Montfort University, supporting teaching, learning, and student development.
- Facilitate teaching sessions, workshops, and clinical skills training aligned to the MPharm programme.
- Support student learning in clinical practice, acting as a role model and linking clinical experience to academic learning.
- Work collaboratively with university staff and Trust colleagues to support integration of clinical practice and education.

Rotational Programme
Join our dynamic RRCV pharmacy team and take advantage of a structured rotational programme across five specialist areas: Renal, Respiratory, Cardiology, Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU), Vascular, and Specialist Surgery. Each rotation lasts six months, giving you the chance to develop broad, in-depth expertise.

- Contribute to audit, research, and service development activities within both clinical practice and education.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
- Maintain professional development and actively work towards advanced clinical and/or educational practice.
