If you are an experienced Band 6 or a Band 5 Registered Physiotherapist looking for a developmental role to take you to your next step in your career, we want to hear from you.

You will be joining our thriving Medical Team at Hinchingbrooke Hospital which consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and support staff, and is responsible for the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of patients to facilitate safe, timely discharges. This role is required to support Respiratory on-call rota.

We are invested in enhancing your specialist clinical knowledge and developing your managerial and leadership skills supporting with:

Interviews for this role will be conducted in person to assess relevant skills effectively.

Role Purpose

  • To enable Physiotherapy to provide Therapy Skills within the inpatient service
  • To ensure safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient-focused care in line with identified evidence-based practice, local, and national standards
  • To work collaboratively within Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Teams
  • To participate in delegated projects for service development with the team
  • To act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients within the specialty who may have a complex presentation
  • To demonstrate a flexible approach to working in support of the whole in-patient/outpatient team
  • To undertake weekend working as required within service developments
  • To be available to provide Clinical Supervision
  • This role entails 80% Clinical Contact and 20% Operational Management as appropriate within team requirements
  • To guide Band 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans
