About the Team

The Community Based Neuro Rehabilitation Team in BHFT is an established team delivering Specialist Neuro Rehabilitation for over 16 years. The team work collaboratively with other teams including Headway, the Stroke Association and other NHS and Social Care Teams.

About the Role

We are very excited to be able to be recruiting for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Earlier Supported Discharge (ESD) team for Stroke Rehabilitation based in the East Berkshire Locality.

As Specialist Physiotherapist in Neuro Rehabilitation, you will provide clinical delivery of Physiotherapy to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical delivery of specialist Physiotherapy for patients needing Neurorehabilitation
  • To undertake comprehensive assessment of patients and formulate their treatment plan
  • Delegate effectively to therapy Assistants
  • To communicate effectively and collaboratively with other colleagues and teams within and outside of the NHS
  • To contribute to the development of neurological rehabilitation services within Berkshire working closely with the Team Leads for CBNRT and ESD and other members of the team
  • To be actively involved in the collection of appropriate data and statistics for the use of the department

Working Pattern

The working pattern will be 30 hours a week. Work base is St Marks Hospital with rehabilitation being delivered in patients’ home and other appropriate community settings.
