Job Opportunity: Specialist Children’s Physiotherapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children’s physiotherapy team working in our Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Service.
Due to promotion we have a permanent full time (37.5hrs) specialist post in this rotation, covering:
- MSK OPs (you may be required to support IP's as capacity allows)
- Rheumatology (which includes a small MSK OP caseload)
You will rotate between the two areas every 12 months.
The post aligns to the MSK Paediatric out of hours rota, which currently covers on-calls till 8pm on a Friday and Monday, and Sunday morning, and weekend shift Saturday morning.
We are a supportive team that works very closely with the wider MDT, including consultants, OTs and nurses. The role will predominantly include independent caseload management of outpatient work, alongside some clinic work. At times depending on service capacity you may also be required to support some inpatient caseloads too. This will involve the assessment and management of a range of children and young people with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and inflammatory conditions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
