About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to join the long term condition therapies team and specifically work within the multi-disciplinary pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) service.
The post holder will be involved with the ongoing development of the PR service, with an emphasis on providing both face to face and digital service options to meet the needs of our respiratory population within the health board. We want to see this service continue to be developed and implemented at pace to enable the vision of supporting people in CTMUHB to achieve their maximum potential - physically, cognitively, socially and psychologically (AHP Framework, 2019).

- Work with the PR team and link with the wider HB respiratory team, physiotherapy team, and across therapies within a Long Term Condition Management team
- Provide a high standard pulmonary rehabilitation service
- Plan and organise own caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment, education, and rehabilitation plans for patients within the specialty
- Take delegated responsibility from the lead physiotherapist for the pulmonary rehabilitation service, providing specialist assessments and advice on pulmonary rehabilitation, therapeutic interventions and to liaise with and advise patients/parents/guardians/carers and others as required
- Supervise physiotherapy Health Care Support Workers, guide/mentor band 5 physiotherapists and physiotherapy students
- Work with and regularly teach, assess and contribute to the performance assessment and appraisal of Band 5 newly qualified physiotherapists (Band 5) and physiotherapy Health Care Support Workers (Bands 2/3/4)
- Teach student physiotherapists to graduate level on physiotherapeutic skills and knowledge within core clinical areas
