We would like to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary diabetic foot team based at the Norfolk & Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust. There is the possibility of there being more hours available on a fixed-term basis and this can be discussed at the interview.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary diabetic foot team which is one of the largest in the East of England and we see over 700 new patients and 6500 follow-ups per year, all of whom have complex foot disease.
What We Can Offer
You will join a team of seven podiatrists. We can offer real variety in different sub-specialty working alongside consultants’ colleagues in diabetes, microbiology, renal, vascular, plastics, and orthopaedic surgery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
If you are considering applying for this post on a secondment basis, please discuss with your Line Manager prior to applying to ascertain whether this could be supported.
To support the Principal Podiatrist in the daily operational and financial management of the team, you will provide clinical leadership within the specialty including educational, professional, and managerial guidance. You will be responsible for the daily clinical supervision of junior team members, podiatrists on rotation or students in outpatients, and other support staff within the team both administrative and clinical.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
