The Safeguarding Team are looking for a Specialist Safeguarding Adults Practitioner to join their team to deliver, support and promote safeguarding within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The role focuses on early identification of health related safeguarding risks, direct work with vulnerable adults where required, and close collaboration with social care, police, education, and other specialist services to promote timely, coordinated, and relationship based interventions that improve outcomes for adults at risk.

Responsibilities

  • To support the Head of Safeguarding and Named Nurse in the execution of statutory roles and responsibilities.
  • To promote quality and effectiveness of health workers responses to safeguard children and adults at risk.
  • To work as an advanced specialist practitioner providing supervision, advice, and training to staff around safeguarding.
  • To take part in developing and implementing policies and procedures and audit in partnership with other organisations.
  • To demonstrate active leadership skills in the management of safeguarding within multiagency setting.
  • To interpret and apply relevant, up to date research to clinical practice in consultation with the senior safeguarding team.
  • To promote high standards of practice relating to the safety and welfare of children and adults at risk in all areas of service provision.

What We Offer

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
