Location: Weston Foyer, St Ives Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 3XX Salary: £14.51 per hour Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Your Role

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support customers experiencing homelessness to build independence and realise their potential
  • Ensure seamless service delivery and promote key outreach efforts effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to deliver intensive, high-quality support
  • Oversee a team of Project Workers, including recruitment, onboarding, rota planning and development
  • Develop and manage risk assessments alongside personalised support plans to maintain safe, high-quality care
  • Liaise across departments to achieve progress on tenancy sustainment, sustainable housing solutions, and move-on goals
  • Safeguard adherence to best practices by completing health and safety checks and promoting safe working environments

(This may also be referred to as Senior Support Worker or Senior Support Assistant.)

Essential Requirements

You’ll need:

✅ Qualification: Demonstrated commitment to achieving an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, either through existing qualifications or a commitment to study ✅ Experience: Knowledge working with people experiencing homelessness—community experience can also be considered ✅ Knowledge: Understanding of housing management practices (rents, tenancies) and tenancy legislation, including high standards of Health and Safety regulations ✅ Abilities: Strength in working independently under pressure and maintaining composure while adapting to challenging environments ✅ Technical Skill: Ability to utilise Microsoft Office and other relevant tools proficiently
