Specialist Project Worker

Specialist Project Worker – Weston Foyer

Location: Weston Foyer, St Ives Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 3XX

Rate: £14.51 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hrs

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest in our teams and services, championing individuality while helping everyone grow. This role represents an opportunity to positively impact lives daily, either as a Senior Support Worker or Senior Support Assistant.

Responsibilities

As a Specialist Project Worker, your impactful responsibilities include:

  • Supporting customers experiencing homelessness to build independence and reach their full potential.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the service while promoting it effectively.
  • Collaborating with teams and customers to deliver high-quality, intensive support.
  • Managing and developing a team, including recruitment, training, and rota planning.
  • Overseeing risk assessments and personalised support plans to maintain safe and effective standards.
  • Liaising closely with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes, focusing on tenancy sustaining, move-on goals, and long-term independence.
  • Promoting safe working practices, including health and safety checks.

Requirements and Skills

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Practical experience supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness.
  • Solid knowledge of housing management, including rents, tenancies, and health and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with occupancy agreements and their implementation.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Proficient technology/IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and similar tools.
