Specialist Respiratory Clinician
Specialist Nurse or Physiotherapist – Community Respiratory Service
We’re looking for dedicated and motivated Nurses or Physiotherapists to develop their specialist respiratory skills and join our Community Respiratory Service.
Location: Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Working Hours: Core hours 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (travel to patients, clinics and community venues across BNSSG)
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver specialist respiratory care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, supporting adults with long-term respiratory conditions.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, your role will include:
- Clinical expertise in Pulmonary Rehabilitation and/Home Oxygen Therapy
- Advisory support to healthcare professionals
- Postgraduate education collaborations with UWE Bristol
- Patient-centred therapy to improve quality of life and independence

You’ll work alongside a passionate team of colleagues to enhance respiratory health in our community.
Responsibilities
Core Duties:
- Deliver expert clinical assessment, advice and evidence-based treatment for patients with chronic respiratory disease within community settings.
- Lead Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes and Home Oxygen Therapy services.
- Act as a specialist resource for colleagues across healthcare professions, ensuring integrated care.
- Provide education and guidance to healthcare professionals working within the BNSSG healthcare pathway.
