Specialist SEN Teacher (M2 – UP3 + SEN1)
Location: Short Heath Junior School, Short Heath Federation
About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for a committed Specialist SEN Teacher to join a forward-thinking school during an exciting phase of growth. We are expanding our Specialist Resource Provision, creating a highly inclusive environment where every child is cherished, no matter their starting point. This role will involve working closely with a team of 4 adults (including 1 Level 3 Teaching Assistant and 2 Level 2 Teaching Assistants) to support 8 children within either our existing SEMH (Social Emotional & Mental Health) or forthcoming communication and interaction provision.
Key to the role:
- Team teaching in a collaborative environment with both mainstream and specialist staff.
- Multi-agency support, including our in-house HOPE Team (Educational Psychologists, therapists, and counsellors).
- Leadership in specialist provision expansion, ensuring relevant training (e.g., Nurture, trauma-informed, relational practice).
- Regular collective collaboration with Rosedale Infant School, our federated partner.
