The Role

We are looking to appoint a permanent Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for pupils with additional or complex needs. You will apply practical experience, knowledge, and strategies in areas such as EAL (English as an Additional Language), behaviour management, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) to meet individual learning requirements.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of supporting pupils with additional or complex needs – or the potential to develop this skill.
  • A child-centred ethos, prioritising trust and confidence in young learners through your interaction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with children, parents, and schools).
  • Confidence in steering children’s learning towards success, taking into account varying individual needs.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous personal development in supporting children with SEND.
  • A commitment to "Work Hard – Be Kind" in all aspects of your role.
