About the Role
You’ll play a vital part in supporting our existing Speech & Language Therapist to conduct assessments and interventions for service users experiencing complex vulnerabilities and neurodiverse needs.
This is an opportunity to:
- Contribute to innovative practice and service development
- Help individuals access equitable justice support by addressing communication needs, disabilities (including learning disability and neurodevelopmental conditions) like autism and ADHD
- Collaborate with police, courts, probation and healthcare teams for better outcomes
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed assessments for service users in the Criminal Justice System
- Provide personalised interventions to support neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities
- Work with multi-agency teams to embed SLT expertise in LDR pathways
- Advise on empowerment, communication strategies, and access to appropriate services
- Assist in policy development and professional training within the trust
- Ensures compliance with privacy, accessibility and safeguarding standards

Requirements
- Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC)
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business use (unless adapted due to protected disability under the Equality Act 2010)
- Experience (or interest) in neurodiversity, criminal justice systems, or diverse demographics would be advantageous
- Commitment to recovery-focused practice and collaboration with local services
