Come and join our supportive multidisciplinary team providing high quality stroke care to people in their own homes and local community.
This role gives the opportunity for professional development, supervision of staff and involvement in service development in our relatively new team.
We are looking for a dynamic Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for stroke rehabilitation and team working to join us and help to shape the direction of our team for the future.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing problems within the adult SLT service and stroke team
- Work independently with the support and supervision of clinical leads
- Work in patients’ homes and community
- Work as an integrated member of the SLT team and stroke team
- Work with members of the multidisciplinary stroke team, including nursing, therapists and assistant staff
- Be involved in ongoing training to the multidisciplinary team.
- Be part of a wider network of SLTs in Sirona including peer supervision and support
- Receive clinical and operational leadership from the Clinical Specialist SLT for stroke
