Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist seeking a new opportunity within a supportive NHS service?
Due to new service investment and additional funding, NELFT is pleased to offer a number of Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist vacancies across our Redbridge Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team. These roles provide exciting opportunities to work across a range of settings, including mainstream schools, early years provisions and community clinics, enabling you to develop a broad and rewarding clinical skillset.

As a Speech and Language Therapist in our Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team, you will:
- Provide a comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy service to children with a range of speech, language and communication needs across community clinics, home and education settings, including, assessment, diagnosis and intervention.
- Independently organise and prioritise own caseload and daily workload.
- Deputise for the Team Leads when required and appropriately delegate to junior staff.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and support for children with speech, language, communication and feeding needs.
- Develop and deliver training and support packages.
- Engage in regular supervision to support reflective practice and decision-making.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes, Essex.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, Goodmayes)
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).
