About You
- Registered with the HCPC and RCSLT
- Experience in managing dysphagia and communication needs within Head and Neck/Oncology or acute settings

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
- Use advanced clinical reasoning to assess, diagnose, and treat complex communication and swallowing disorders
- Work in key clinical environments, including:
- Radiotherapy Clinics – Proactively support patients during treatment
- Outpatient Appointments – Deliver ongoing rehabilitation with evidence-based interventions
- Surgical & Oncology Inpatients – Manage swallowing and communication support post-head and neck surgery
Leadership & Training
- Supervise and mentor junior clinicians, assistants, and students
- Provide high-quality training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications
Essential:
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- HCPC registration
- Ability to demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD)
Desirable:
- Membership of an appropriate clinical network group
- Additional professional/academic qualifications relevant to clinical practice
- Accredited Practice Placement Educator Certificate
Experience
Essential:
- Extensive clinical experience in Adult SLT services
- Experience with delegation to non-registered staff
- Track record in service development/improvement
- Contribution to student training
Desirable:
- Experience with delegation to registered staff
