£47,472 - £51,048 (pro rata for part-time roles). Allowances may include TLR and/or SEN payments as agreed by the manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver effective strategies and interventions to improve outcomes for children & young people with complex cognition difficulties, ranging from Key Stage 2 to post-16.
- Work with school teams, parents, and stakeholders to ensure personalised, inclusive supports via:
- Modelling teaching practices where necessary.
- Providing guidance to staff on interventions, school resources, and engaging learners.
- Strengthen provision across Nottinghamshire’s Family of Schools by advising:
- District Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs).
- Family SENCOs.
- Utilise expertise in the National Curriculum, evidence-based interventions, and barriers faced by learners with complex needs.
- Operate collaboratively in a solution-focussed manner, offering flexibility to work from across the county.
Requirements
- Behind-the-wheel Requirement: Extensive county-wide travel is necessary to fulfill role demands.
- Gap Cover: This 1.5-day weekly appointment will continue for 18 months.
- Leadership Allowance: Post includes:
- SEN Points allowance.
- TLR 2a.
- Competency Basis: Applicants invited for interview will be assessed against essential requirements.
