Role Information

Location: Stroud Campus - SGS Oasis

FTE Salary: Up to £37,545.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

Actual Salary: Up to £12,176.75

Contract Type: Permanent, Part time

Working Hours: Up to 12 hours per week

SGS Oasis is a specialist provision delivering individualised therapeutic education programmes to young people with SEMH and C&I needs. We are looking to recruit teaching staff who can deliver a variety of subjects across a range of levels including – English, maths, horticulture, employability and Life Skills.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • To deliver a study programme that promotes well-being and supports learners to make academic progress and progress towards EHCP and PfA outcomes
  • To ensure a suitable therapeutic environment for learners with C&I and SEMH needs
  • To foster an individualised approach to supporting learners to engage with learning and gain qualifications
  • To stretch and challenge English and Maths Skills through all delivery
  • To ensure that learners are enrolled and registered with the appropriate awarding bodies

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to create individual learning plans and ensure timely completion
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills
  • High levels of emotional literacy
  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH needs in a specialist setting
