Lichfield Road has an opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to join our team. This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week over 5 days. Salary is £51,000 per annum.
Lichfield Road is a Rehabilitation Service in Bloxwich, Walsall. This rehabilitation service is accessible by public transport, with local bus stops approximately a 2–5 minute walk away and Bloxwich railway station approximately a 5–10 minute taxi journey from the site.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
You will also:
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric and medical care to adult inpatient mental health patients.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and support diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.
- Work collaboratively with Consultants, multidisciplinary teams, RMOs, GPs, pharmacists, and external agencies.
- Promote safe, effective, and recovery-focused patient care.
- Support the delivery of comprehensive physical healthcare within the inpatient setting.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
You must hold an MBBS or equivalent recognised medical qualification, have full GMC registration with a licence to practise, and remain in good standing with the General Medical Council. They should be committed to maintaining the highest professional standards within psychiatric services and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and personal development.
